The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding your current concerns, history, and goals for therapy. It’s a collaborative space where I will ask questions to gather relevant background information, and you’re welcome to share at your own pace—there’s no pressure to disclose more than you feel comfortable with.

I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities—including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR)—and tailor the approach to your specific needs, preferences, and nervous system responses. We will work together to determine what feels most effective and supportive for your unique process.

The length of therapy varies depending on your goals, the complexity of the issues being addressed, and the depth of healing you’re seeking. Some clients find short-term work helpful for specific concerns, while others benefit from longer-term therapy to explore deeper patterns and trauma-related experiences.

Yes, confidentiality is a fundamental part of the therapeutic relationship and is protected by professional ethical guidelines. The only exceptions are situations involving risk of serious harm to yourself or others, or where required by law—these will be discussed clearly in our initial session.
